May’s pollens are gathering force here in the HAA mixer—and we’re ready to share the projects we’ve been germinating toward completion. That is to say, Henderson has completed a number of builds, but some of the most complex and fulfilling have been these:
COMPLETED

- St. Mary’s Parish and School—Edwardsville, Ill.
- Recently, the bishop visited and blessed the church, so St. Mary’s is now fully open to the public. As you probably remember, St. Mary’s has added a new lobby and Narthex, some of its existing administration spaces were renovated, and exterior work consisted of a new sign and lighting. Boeker Construction, another pillar of the community (if you’ll excuse the pun), truly helped to make this dream build a reality.
- Goddard School—Springfield, Ill.
- The landscaping and solar array are being finalized, and the addition has been finished.
- Lake Street 31 Development—Aurora, Ill.
- Fully open and operational, this multifaceted site is cornerstoned by a bright, new, climate-controlled Storage of America facility. A DMV+ has located within Lake Street 31, and other businesses are also talking about taking part in this development. We can’t wait to see what future small businesses take off in this site that had gone unused since 2017.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION

- NMMA (National Memorial of Military Ascent)—Grafton, Ill.
- We’re watching a tight timeline here, and the site is under very active construction. Despite the unpredictable soil conditions keeping the team on their toes, the rock face scaling is underway (as you can see above!), grading for the accessible sidewalk to the monument is complete, foundations are being poured for the plinth wall, and mock‑ups are officially in motion. The installation of our life‑sized bronze Ranger statues has also begun, honoring the extraordinary climb at Pointe du Hoc. Phase I looks to be completed in late May, for a planned official opening in June 2026. NMMA shares regular updates on their Facebook and Instagram, such as the recent shout-out for the evocative bronze sculptures being painstakingly completed by Carolina Bronze Sculpture, Inc. NMMA is still pursuing its fundraising goal to make this historic site ever more in-depth in future growth stages. Please think about a donation to this Grafton memorial, which heralds veterans all over the country, past and present, and their families—all who sacrificed so much and still do, to this day.
- Byway Discovery Center—Godfrey, Ill.
- This project is nearing completion and is set to be finished later this month (May 2026). Recent updates: There are new lamp posts lining the site, curbs that are set and ready for pavement, and the interior framing is complete. Masonry work is up next. Stay tuned as the next phase kicks off very soon. In the end, the BDC will add a cultural center that celebrates the confluence of historic happenings and outdoor recreational opportunities for locals and visitors alike to Southern Illinois’ natural gemstone: the Meeting of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway.
- Firemen’s Park—Maryville, Ill.
- This community project will be completed midway through May. A ribbon cutting ceremony and concert in the park are slated for May 23. Set your calendars now!
- Glen Carbon Centennial Library—Glen Carbon, Ill.
- The team is hard at work on an exterior refresh of this award-winning local library. You may remember that after last spring’s re-roofing, in August 2025, the library added a solar array to boost their energy efficiency, and that’s been off and running, adding up in savings since.
- Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower—Hartford, Ill.
- Exterior improvements are undergoing last-minute checks and the Dedication Day bows and ribbons are being adjusted. The entry, as you’ll see from our featured photo, looks in tip-top shape. The dedication day is TODAY, May 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. Won’t you join us?
